Nuraa Essentials is an Australian skincare brand creating preservative-free body care products for Hajj and Umrah pilgrims.

The idea for Nuraa Essentials came from a simple observation: there were very few skincare products designed specifically for the conditions experienced during Hajj and Umrah. We couldn't find balms that remained stable in temperatures of up to 45°C, or products that could be comfortably used during Ihram while helping to protect the skin from friction, dryness, heat and long periods of walking.

So we developed our own.

Our products are made with a small number of carefully selected ingredients and without unnecessary additives. Every balm is anhydrous (water-free), meaning synthetic preservatives are not required. We use ingredients such as organic shea butter, calendula-infused oils, beeswax and other plant-based oils chosen for their skin-conditioning properties.

Three of our five balms are completely fragrance-free and suitable for use during Ihram. The formulations have been designed to remain firm in hot conditions while still applying smoothly to the skin.

Each product is made in small batches in Australia and undergoes stability testing, microbial testing and an independent F.A.C.T.S. safety assessment.

Pilgrims already have enough to think about during their journey. We wanted to create practical products that help care for the skin and allow them to focus on what matters most.

Nuraa means "light" in Arabic. We chose the name because we hope our products can provide a little comfort and ease throughout a meaningful journey.

As part of our commitment to giving back, 2.5% of every sale is donated to Awqaf Australia through The Nuraa Fund as Sadaqah Jariyah (ongoing charity).
